Start where you are. Christ meets you there.

In the Gospels, Jesus meets people in the middle of their real lives—while they’re working, questioning, praying, struggling, and resting.

Along the Shore is a place for you to begin noticing Him there too.

Begin here. You do not have to have everything figured out to meet Jesus where you are.

About Holly

Hi, I’m Holly.

I’m a theology teacher, wife, and mom living in a small town, where life is full of lesson plans, family routines, and the ordinary moments that don’t always feel very “spiritual”—but often are.

For years, I’ve walked with students, parishioners, and fellow teachers who want to know Christ more deeply, but aren’t always sure where to begin. I’ve seen how easy it is for faith to feel distant—something we learn about, rather than something we actually live.

But in the Gospels, Jesus doesn’t wait for people to have everything figured out. He meets them in the middle of their real lives—along the shore, in their work, in their questions, and even in their struggles.

That’s the heart behind Along the Shore.

It’s also the heart behind my book, Alongside the Sea of Galilee: Grace on the Shore and in the Storms, which explores the places where Jesus forms His disciples—not when life is perfect, but right in the middle of it.

This space is for anyone who:

  • feels unsure where to begin
  • is returning after time away
  • or simply wants a deeper, more real relationship with Christ

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just have to be willing to begin.

Why the Sea of Galilee

Jesus performed the majority of His ministry there, with ordinary people in their day to day lives. I think much can be learned from spending time with Him there.
